JJ Ltd was established in 1998, founded by the two shareholding directors manufacturing specialist food product ingredients for the bakery industry.

By 2003 the company employed 14 staff had a turnover of £1.1M and EBIT of £42k when they engaged Copernicus for a full strategic review including exit strategy.

New markets were identified, products developed, systems enhanced, customer focus enhanced and HR systems put in place to enthuse and develop the staff.

In 2006 the business employed 38 people, turnover of £3.4M and EBIT of £310k. It was sold to a Scandinavian company introduced by Copernicus for £3M+
